However, many function failures happen<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: circle;\">\n<li><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">Both the front and the rear camera turn off automatically<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">No ringtone function<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Fehlersuche<\/h2>\n<p>More than two function failures happen, normally, should be caused by the shared power supply or the bus rails with some problem. And by the many years of repair experience, the I2C bus relative chip is corrosive with a higher failure rate.<\/p>\n<p>Besides, based on the P30 repair experience, either only installing the front camera or only installing the rear camera will cause the camera to turn off automatically issue. So we will need to check all the camera circuits, and fix the problem to ensure all the camera circuits are in good condition.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<h2>Reparatur-Prozess<\/h2>\n<p>First, check the cosmetic of the motherboard under a microscope carefully.<\/p>\n<p>Both the front and rear camera connectors are super clean.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/rewa.tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/01.png\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/rewa.tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/02.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"549\" height=\"316\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/rewa.tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/03__Dock_flex_cable.png\" width=\"548\" height=\"365\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>The dock flex cable is also OK.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/rewa.tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/04__Dock_flex_cable.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"550\" height=\"285\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>So the front camera failures might not come from the motherboard, maybe the camera function failure is caused by the little board ringtone correlative part with the problem.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><strong>Test!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Detach the dock flex cable (remove the little board) and test, just as we expected, the camera functions are back to normal. So <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><em>all the issues should be caused by the little board with the problem.&nbsp;<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/rewa.tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/Detach_the_little_board.png\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>After detaching the little board, as we can see the flex cable and connector with a little bit of corrosive.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/rewa.tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/Corrosive_Flex_Cable_and_connector.png\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>Scratch off the corrosive and then apply some tin to the pin<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/rewa.tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/scratch_off_the_corrosive_part.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"550\" height=\"442\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/rewa.tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/P40_Pro_Water_Damage.png\" alt=\"P40 Pro Water Damage\" width=\"1400\" height=\"628\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>After that, the issue still remains the same. Let&#8217;s measure the diode values on the Dock flex cable, find below two pins&#8217; diode values are 630 and 345, which is abnormal.
