If you press the button it either results in a delay, lag or sometimes is completely unresponsive, forcing you to click multiple times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s.rewa.tech\/image\/544bb717-92b5-40d7-8cae-e8621abe3554-650.png\" alt=\"iphone home button\" title=\"\"><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Here\u2019s an old trick to recalibrate your iPhone or iPad\u2019s Home button if you\u2019re finding it little unresponsive or laggy. You don\u2019t need to take it apart for it. All you need to do is follow these simple instructions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>1. Launch any app such as Stocks, Weather, etc. that comes pre-installed with your iPhone or iPad.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2. Press and hold the Power (Sleep\/Wake) button until you \u201cslide to power off\u201d slider appears on the screen.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>3. Release the power button and now press and hold the Home button until the \u201cslide to power off\u201d slider goes away.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>That\u2019s it. You will notice that it kills the app. You will also notice that the home button is a lot more responsive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is quite an old trick to recalibrate the Home button if it becomes unresponsive. It is not clear why this works, and what\u2019s the significance of using a stock app. But it seems to work, and certainly made the Home button on my iPhone 6 Plus more responsive. I haven\u2019t been forced to click multiple times after trying this trick. This should also work with iPad and iPod touch Home buttons. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If your Home button doesn\u2019t work even after trying this trick, then it is quite possible that it is a hardware issue, and you need to get it repaired.
