And they are also very clost to the edge of the motherboard. It might be the location reason, may easy to get drop\/water\/ESD damage.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">See location of the two components as below (Quoted from <a href=\"https:\/\/refoxteam.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Refox Bitmap<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/rewa.tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/C1597_C552.png\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>PP1V8_SDRAM<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>C1923<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/rewa.tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/C1293.png\" width=\"1200\" height=\"516\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\n<ul>\n<li>U5411<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">The upper antenna jumper<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/rewa.tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/U.png\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>The 3V voltage supply for the NAND<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>C0634<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/rewa.tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/C0634.png\" width=\"1200\" height=\"408\" alt=\"iPhone 6 Repair\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><strong>PP1V8_SDRAM short<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>C1214&nbsp; C1216<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>As marked in the circle, the two small capacitors are just above the CPU chip.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/rewa.tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/C1214.png\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Specification of these two capacitors can be searched from the schematic<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/rewa.tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/C1216.png\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p><strong>PP1V8 diode value&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>abnormal&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>As we can see from the bitmap, PP1V8 related with many chips and components<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>One common fault is the measured diode value of PP1V8 is 30, and there&#8217;s a high chance it&#8217;s CPU get shorted.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/rewa.tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/PP1V8.png\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>Where there is short there is current leakage. And in the most cases, it&#8217;s caused by below three reasons<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: circle;\">\n<li>the fingerprint circuit with problem<\/li>\n<li>the 3V power supply of compass related filter type capacitor with problem<\/li>\n<li>USB chip itself get damaged<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Drop damage common faults<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>And for the iPhone 6 repair which is caused by drop damage, based on the repair experience, there are some common faults. Let&#8217;s have a look, details as below<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Wi-Fi module pin 14 (The reset signal pin) with inner rail broken<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">This kind of problem can be fixed by jump wire from R5208_RF to C5212_RF \/ or the test point<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/rewa.tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/RESER.png\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/rewa.tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/Jump_Wire.png\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>The reason for this pin may get damaged easily is obviously. As we can see it&#8217;s just at the top edge of the motherboard. When phone dropped, the components around the edge and corners are always easy to get damage.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: square;\">\n<li><strong>The inner rail between CPU and EEPROM get broken<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">The normal diode value is around 450, abnormal value around 600<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">For this kind of issue repair, we&#8217;ll need to scratch out the CPU then jump wire, which is a kind of expert\/ master level handwork repair. Enough repair experience and skills are required!<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/rewa.tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/EEPROM.png\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: square;\">\n<li><strong>The U1 and V1 pin of baseband CPU get damaged<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">This can caused no IMEI number and no service.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Repair method: teardown the BB CPU chip, then jump wire to the pads around them to fix<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">(Since BB CPU is also an encrypted chip, think twice before you decide to do the operation)<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/rewa.tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/Baseband.png\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><strong>Some other issue repair experience sharing<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: square;\">\n<li>Camera issue &#8211; rear camera do not work<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">There is a high chance it&#8217;s caused by the&nbsp; LDO U2301 with problem. We can jump a 3V voltage from NAND or replace the LDO chip to have a try.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/rewa.tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/LDO.png\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: square;\">\n<li><strong>Touch issue &#8211; No touch<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">The Meson U2402 with a higher failure rate, just try to repalce it directly.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">(Meson responsible to provide powers for the screen, the load on it is higher than CUMULUS)<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/rewa.tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/U2402.png\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/rewa.tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/MESON.png\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: square;\">\n<li><strong>No signal \/ No service<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">As we mentioned earlier. After excluding the BB_CPU U1\/V1 rail damage, then there&#8217;s a high chance signal function failure is caused by the transceiver with problem.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Solution\uff1a Try to replace the transceiver chip (U_WTR_RF) with a new one first<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/rewa.tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/Transceiver.png\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: square;\">\n<li><strong>No charging issue<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Based on the repair experience, for the charging issue. Failure rate of the related chips:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Charging tube (MOSFET) Q1701&nbsp; &gt; USB IC (U1700) &gt; Charging IC (U1401)<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: circle;\">\n<li>Can try to replace the above mentioned chip one by one to have a test.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>For the MOSFET, we can just short it to test first.
