Remove the U300 and check the VOUT37_1V2 again, there is no short.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Replace a new U300 chip then assemble to test, all the functions are OK.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">Caso 2.<\/span><\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<p><strong>Defect phenomenon<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Press the power button cannot startup<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><strong>Soluci\u00f3n de problemas<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Firstly, change another set of phone parts to test, the phone cannot be booted, so the issue comes from the motherboard.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Then take out the motherboard and check the cosmetics under the microscope, there are no burning components, no mold, no deformation&#8230;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Then check the current with the DC power supply, try to trigger the boot process, and check th<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><span style=\"color: #333333;\">e&nbsp;current.<\/span>&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">It keeps jumping between 0-200mA.&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Measure the below 3 sets of voltage values<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">&nbsp;TP3004(USB_DM_CON)<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">&nbsp;T601.3\uff08USB_DM\uff09<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">&nbsp;T601.4\uff08SOC_USB_DM\uff09<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Normally, should be around 0.61V. But the measured result is 0.23V only. Check the schematic, the 3 voltages are come from U300<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/rewa.tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/U300_SOC_USB_DM.png\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/rewa.tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/USB_DM.png\" width=\"877\" height=\"358\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">So sti<\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">ll there<\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">&nbsp;is&nbsp;<\/span><\/span>a high chance, no boot issue is caused by the U300 damage.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Replace it with a new one then test, the phone can be booted normally.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">From the above 2 cases we can see, many start-up issues and functional failures might be caused by the U300.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/rewa.tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/U300_Location_P30.png\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #99cc00;\">Caso 3.<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Defect phenomenon<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Cannot startup<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><strong>Soluci\u00f3n de problemas<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The motherboard is clean, check carefully under the microscope, no mold, corrosive, parts missing or deformation, etc.<\/p>\n<p>Connect with the DC power supply machine and try to trigger the boot process, the current keeps jumping between 8-10mA, which is a very low value and quite abnormal.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Based on the repair experience, check the U1000 signal rails first.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<p>After measuring, find the&nbsp;VBAT_SYS shorted to the ground. Then apply power on the VBAT_SYS rail and inspect under the thermal camera, find the C1113 get very hot and (looks extremely bright under the <a href=\"https:\/\/shop.rewa.tech\/detail\/qianli-supercam-x-3d-thermal-imager-camera.html\">c\u00e1mara termogr\u00e1fica<\/a> )<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/rewa.tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/C1113.png\" alt=\"C1113\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>So remove C1113 first, then we find the short is gone.<\/p>\n<p>After that, replace a new C1113 with the same specification.
