After checking, then try to boot with the DC power supply connected.<\/p>\n<p>Luckily, there is no current leakage. This means there is a higher chance to get the phone fixed.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/rewa.tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/06__There_is_no_large_current_leakage.png\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Then let&#8217;s check the conditions of the CPU and the UFS chip, remove the thermal grease, and clean with PCB cleaner, the CPU and UFS chip looks fine.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/rewa.tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/07__looks_fine.png\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>So, let&#8217;s put back the inductors one by one. Then check the boot current again.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/rewa.tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/08__lets_put_back_the_inductors_one_by_one.png\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>The phone still cannot be booted.<\/p>\n<p>Carefully check with the thermal camera, and multimeter and finally find out there is an inductor is damaged.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/rewa.tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/09__Multimeter_and_thermal_imager.png\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/rewa.tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/10__this_inductor_is_damaged.png\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>Replace the below inductor with a new one then test again, and the boot current is back to normal.<\/p>\n<p>Temporarily assemble the phone and trigger the boot process, boot current curve is normal, and can feel the vibration of the phone. <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">But no display&#8230;<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Based on the repair experience, the no display should be caused by the poor soldering of the two layers of the motherboard. Measure the diode value on the display and touch connector, it&#8217;s higher than normal value<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/rewa.tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/11__Measure_the_diode_value_on_the_display_and_touch_connector.png\" width=\"1400\" height=\"499\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>Recombine the two layers of the motherboard and test again, the phone can be booted normally and the display function is also back to normal<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/rewa.tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/12__recombine.png\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/rewa.tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/Drop_Damaged_HUAWEI_Mate_40_Pro.png\" alt=\"Drop Damaged HUAWEI Mate 40 Pro\" width=\"1400\" height=\"585\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<h2>R\u00e9sum\u00e9<\/h2>\n<p>The issue was fixed by<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>solder back the missing and loosen inductors<\/li>\n<li>replace another damaged inductor (we find it with the help of the multimeter and thermal imager)<\/li>\n<li>recombine the two layers of the motherboard<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>No matter what happened, try your best to control your temper and don&#8217;t be angry.
