After receiving the cell phone, insert another SIM card to test. There do have no internet.<\/o_p><\/span><\/p>\n

Then disassemble the phone and check the motherboard. <\/o_p><\/span><\/p>\n

As we can see, some chips at the top of the motherboard have been fixed before.<\/o_p><\/span><\/p>\n

Check the fixed chips again, no abnormality was found after an inspection.<\/o_p><\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Then we consider the issue might be caused by the U1007 RF IC. First, take it off with the hot air gun, and find there are some pads missing.<\/o_p><\/span><\/p>\n

So the phone might be caused by drop damage.<\/o_p><\/span><\/p>\n

Clean and deal with the pads, jump wire to fix the missing pads.<\/o_p><\/span><\/p>\n

Replace the chip with a new one.<\/o_p><\/span><\/p>\n

Assemble the phone and test.<\/o_p><\/span><\/p>\n

Insert SIM card can be recognized, making a phone call and internet functions are all OK.<\/o_p><\/span><\/p>\n

The issue gets resolved by replacing a new RF IC U1007.<\/o_p><\/span><\/p>\n
