Similarities
Run Cosmetic inspection, no obvious differences on the glass lens.
The two screens come with the same dimension.
The two screens feature with the same flex cable structure.
Differences
iPhone 8 Screen comes with metal buckle on top of the bezel yet with no gap between Ambient sensor hole and Proximity sensor hole. iPhone 7 Screen comes with the plastic buckle on top of the bezel yet with a gap between Ambient sensor hole and Proximity sensor hole.
iPhone 8 Screen comes with black plastic screw holder on the bottom. While iPhone 7 Screen comes with metal screw holder on the bottom.
There is slight difference on the metal part of the bezel (right side) while no obvious difference on the metal part of the bezel (left side).
Primary Function Test
Apply iPhone 8 Screen to iPhone 7, buckle on top of the bezel cannot match. iPhone 8 Screen performs with normal display function on iPhone 7, yet with no touch function and touch ID.
Conclusión:
The new iPhone 8 Screen has almost the same cosmetic appearance and structure as iPhone 7 Screen yet with some obvious differences on the front bezel.
