HUAWEI Mate 30 Pro Common Faults Sharing

01. earpiece speaker circuit, the voltage boost inductor is easy to get shorted. Will cause a large current when connected with the DC power supply.
02. Q1802 is relative to the battery data IO detection, if corrosive will cause the reboot issue.
03. If this area gets water damaged, may cause no service issue
04. This crystal damage may cause no Wi-Fi or no Bluetooth issue
(especially pay attention to the pads on the PCB)
05. These two capacitors are easy to get damaged and cause Wi-Fi cannot be turned on, replace them with the same specification
06. This little inductor which is related to the earpiece circuit, if get damaged will cause no sound issue
07. The two capacitors around the Wi-Fi module are also easy to get damaged and cause the no Wi-Fi issue
08. This screw hole is easy to get damaged by installing with the wrong screw, which will cause the below issues
- Wi-Fi issue
- Bluetooth issue
- Ambient light sensor issue
- No voice in the hands-free mode
- Earpiece no sound
- Camera turns off automatically
09. This little 1.5K pull-up resistor damage will cause the Wi-Fi cannot turn on
10. The BUCK boost IC U1201 and boost inductor L1201 are easy to get damaged, the phone cannot be booted and the self-test current gets too large.
11. These two resistors are easy to get damaged and cause the camera automatically turns off the issue
12. The VBUCK8_1V8 short will cause cannot boot when pressing the power button, we can apply a 1.8V voltage on this rail to find out the heated component and get it replaced
(possible defect capacitor: C434, C433, C431, C432, C430, C429, C446)
13. This corner area is easy to suffer from pads missing and causing the Baseband issue, check the upper and lower layer of the motherboard and recombine the two layers of the motherboard.
14. No Wi-Fi after serious drop damage, we can check below three parts
- U7100
- Crystal
- The marked coupling capacitor
15. The inductor on the buck circuit is damaged or poor soldering will cause no charging issue
16. Capacitor C2103 (XLDO9_CAM_IOVDD_1V8) gets damaged will cause the camera turns off automatically or both the front and rear camera to stop working at the same time.
17. The Wi-Fi circuit self-buck inductor is easy to get damaged especially when the phone gets water damaged
18. The capacitors on the VBUCK1_1V12 are easy to get shorted and cause cannot boot when pressing the power button to trigger. We can apply a 1.8V voltage to find out the heat components.
