08. This screw hole is easy to get damaged by installing with the wrong screw, which will cause the below issues

  • Wi-Fi issue
  • Bluetooth issue
  • Ambient light sensor issue
  • No voice in the hands-free mode
  • Earpiece no sound
  • Camera turns off automatically

09. This little 1.5K pull-up resistor damage will cause the Wi-Fi cannot turn on

10. The BUCK boost IC U1201 and boost inductor L1201 are easy to get damaged, the phone cannot be booted and the self-test current gets too large.

12. The VBUCK8_1V8 short will cause cannot boot when pressing the power button, we can apply a 1.8V voltage on this rail to find out the heated component and get it replaced

(possible defect capacitor: C434, C433, C431, C432, C430, C429, C446)

13. This corner area is easy to suffer from pads missing and causing the Baseband issue, check the upper and lower layer of the motherboard and recombine the two layers of the motherboard.

14. No Wi-Fi after serious drop damage, we can check below three parts

  • U7100
  • Crystal
  • The marked coupling capacitor

16. Capacitor C2103 (XLDO9_CAM_IOVDD_1V8) gets damaged will cause the camera turns off automatically or both the front and rear camera to stop working at the same time.
