Announced on 2020. October 13. After one year there’re some iPhone 12 Pro Max repair cases, in this article let’s share the repair process briefly, hope the repair experience could be helpful to your repair business.
Case 1. iPhone 12 Pro Max No Baseband Repair
The phone gets drop damaged.
The repair technician disassemble the two layers of the motherboard and find pads missing as shown below
Fix the missing pads by jumping wire or using the Refox Soldering Lug, then combine two layers of motherboard and test again. The Baseband function back to normal.
The issue gets fixed by fixing the missing pads on the layers.
Case 2. The camera does not work when in the 0.5x camera mode
This might be the common fault for the iPhone 12 Pro Max, have fixed 3 similar cases before, the issue gets resolved by replacing the U6500 LED Flash Driver (YETI) IC.
So based on the repair experience, separate the two layers of the motherboard first. Then go to the LED flash driver IC directly. Get it replaced with a new one then test, the camera function back to normal.

Case 3. iPhone 12 Pro Max no charging Issue Repair
Connect with charger, no charging symbol. Teardown the motherboard and measure the diode values on the charging dock flex cable, there are two shorts found. And both the two rails go to the charging IC, get charging IC replaced with a new one directly. The diode value back to normal.
Assemble the motherboard and test again, the charging function back to normal.
Issue get resolved by charging IC replacement perfectly.
