First, let’s figure out the structure of the 4 screens, which includes OEM NEW, Aftermarket High-end, Aftermarket Standard and Aftermarket Basic.
The High-end Screen and the OEM NEW Screen share the same in-cell structure. Therefore, the High-end Screen is close to OEM NEW in function stability. Whereas, the Standard Screen and the Basic Screen share the same G+G structure.
Cosmetic Test – Glass & Flex
Glass lens of the High-end Screen and the Standard Screen have been manufactured under high-temperature tempering to be sturdy and durable. Whereas the Basic Screen features glass lens made out of common glass. Taking OEM NEW as an excellent reference, flex cables of the High-end Screen also adopt the multi-layer structure that ensures high flexibility and stability.
Cosmetic Test – Bezel Adhesion
Featuring smooth edges, bezels of the three Screens fit well without adhesive failure.
Cosmetic Test – Hydrophobic Effect
The High-end Screen and the Standard Screen have been coated with fingerprint oil just like OEM NEW. Therefore the two perform perfectly in the test. The Basic Screen performs relatively poor in the test.
Structure Test- IC Size
ICs on the three Screens feature normal size that won’t affect Screen installation.
Structure Test – Screen Thickness
Manufactured with the original Screen technology, the High-end Screen is close to the OEM NEW in Screen thickness. Screen thickness of the Standard Screen and the Basic Screen is in a normal range.
Structure Test – Installation
All three Screens fit well without light-leaking/gap/backlight oppression.
Structure Test – Phone Thickness
All three Screens fit well. The High-end Screen is relatively thin with the original Screen technology.
Function Test – Touch & 3D Touch & Keyboard
All three Screens perform well in the test. Due to the original manufacturing technology, the High-end Screen features relatively smooth and stable touch.

All Screens run smoothly when playing videos/games.
Function Test – Running Temperature
Measure temperature after the phone has run for half an hour. Basic>Standard>High-end>OEM NEW.
Display Test – Pure Color Screen Performance
With wide color gamut and ESR backlight support, the High-end Screen and the Standard Screen are close to OEM NEW in-display effect. Whereas the Basic Screen features ordinary display effect.
Display Test – Sunglasses Test
The High-end and the Standard perform well at all angles under the sunglasses. The Basic Screen turns to black at some angles under the sunglasses.
Display Test – Brightness
With ESR backlight support, the High-end Screen and the Standard Screen are close to OEM NEW in brightness and backlight uniformity. The brightness of the Basic Screen is in an acceptable range.
