Trouble Shooting
For iPhone X Microphone Not Working issue. According to the experience of repair, the fault might be related to Audio IC. Take apart the phone and run the cosmetic inspection of the motherboard first, the appearance looks fine.
Then detach the two layers of the motherboards from each other. Remove the Audio IC, we found that some of the pins had been falsely soldered on Audio IC.
So we replace Audio IC with a new one, then make the upper layer and lower layer solder together.
After that assemble it and test again, the problem resolved.
Tips: For the microphone issues, we can focus on checking the Audio CODEC IC and the relevant components.
Normally, there’s a high chance it’s caused by the damage of the Audio CODEC IC. So it’s important to handle skillful soldering handwork for chip replacement and the soldering of the two layers of the motherboard.
