Malfunction Phenomenon

iPhone XS can not be turned on with current higher than 1A.

 

Trouble Shooting

We disassembled the phone and checked the current with the DC power machine.

Once we connected with the DC power machine, the current directly jump to 1.09A.

Then we tried to use rosin to locate the shorted component, we found the rosin on the surface of the capacitor C2860 was melt, the capacitor was on the rail of PP_VDD_MAIN. We removed the cap, and the malfunction was fixed.
