Enter the official website and download the latest WLRepairTools_setup _exe file Follow the pop-up windows to start the setup process Once finished, run the WL software on your computer Change the default language to Chinese/English You can create an account to log into the software Also, you can click the ‘LOG IN’ at the bottom-right corner to login as a guest account

Connect the PCIE programmer to the computer with the USB cable Click the ‘Nand Repair’ tap on the WL software interface Continue to click the setup icon at the top-right corner Choose ‘hard disk drive’ in the dropdown list to start the hard disk driver installation process Once done, click the red ‘Refresh’ button The computer will identify the programmer port immediately Continue to click the green ‘Connect’ button Open the lid covering the chip staging area and place the NAND flash chip on the staging area Make sure the chip is in the right direction The WL software will read data of the chip automatically

The WiFi module is bound up with WiFi address stored in the NAND flash chip When replacing the WiFi module or upgrading storage of the NAND flash chip Here we have one indispensable step as WiFi unbinding Just click the ‘PCIE Unbundled WiFi’ button

Click the ‘Backup Kernal Data’ button to backup data of the chip These backup data will be saved in the computer Take out the original NAND flash chip Place the new NAND flash chip on the staging area The WL software will read data of the new chip automatically Click the ‘Write Kernal Data’ Choose the data file saved in the computer The software will write the backup data to the new chip Once finished, click the ‘Query Info’ button Basic info of the new chip will be displayed on the interface

Please be noted that sometimes the backup process of the NAND flash chip might require multiple backup operations or take a long time to succeed. In this case, when the backup process is finished, we need to write data to the new chip like this. Choose the right model of the new NAND flash chip in the dropdown list Click the ‘Clear All Lowlevel’ button first Then click the ‘W underlying data’ button This is to write the underlying data stored in the WL software to the new NAND flash chip.
