Defect Phenomenon
No service when inserted with SIM card, cannot make phone calls.
After receiving the cell phone, insert another SIM card to test. There do have no internet.
Then disassemble the phone and check the motherboard.
As we can see, some chips at the top of the motherboard have been fixed before.
Check the fixed chips again, no abnormality was found after an inspection.
Then we consider the issue might be caused by the U1007 RF IC. First, take it off with the hot air gun, and find there are some pads missing.
So the phone might be caused by drop damage.
Clean and deal with the pads, jump wire to fix the missing pads.
Replace the chip with a new one.
Assemble the phone and test.
Insert SIM card can be recognized, making a phone call and internet functions are all OK.
The issue gets resolved by replacing a new RF IC U1007.
