Defect Phenomenon
Camera function failure, exit automatically.
Test with front or rear camera only, the issue still remains the same.
Troubleshooting
The most possible reason that cause the camera to exit automatically is the power and MIPI bus defect. For drop damaged phone with both front or rear camera automatically exit issue, power rails problem with higher rate.
Open the schematic, check the power supplies for the cameras
Rear camera with 9 input powers, front camera with 4 input powers
So we can start to measure the power supplies for the cameras.
Open the camera APP, then measure voltage values on the reference test points.
After measuring, we can see:
Besides the 1.8V, the rest voltages cannot be measured
So the issue should come from the SUB PMIC U9000, which provide powers for both front and rear camera.
Tried to reball then test, the issue still unresolved.
Then replace it with a new one and test, the camera automatically exit issue get resolved.
Assemble the phone and test, all the functions work well.
