The first thing we should know is that the ‘Important Display Message’ will appear after third-party display. It has nothing to do with the replacement screen whether it’s an aftermarket screen or an OEM screen.

What does the iPhone 11 display repair warning mean?

As the system verifies the touch module data during start-up, screen replacement can result in a mismatch between the touch module data and the phone since the touch module is located on the back of the screen.

The only workable solution by now is to solder the touch module of the original screen onto the new replacement screen. Here’s how we do it.

Step1: Grind the touch module on the new screen

Since the touch module is located on the back of the screen, traditional desoldering tools can easily damage it.

We recommend using a new chip grinding tool for this process.

It’s imperative to note that we should not damage flex cables nearby during grinding.

Step2: Solder the former touch module onto the replacement screen

Solder the former touch module onto the replacement screen

Firstly, we should remove the touch module on the original screen.

Remove the earpiece speaker and sensor flex cable from the original screen.

Heat with a Hot Air Gun.

Take the touch module off the original screen.

Clean residual solder paste and black adhesive.

Get the touch module reballed.

Second, solder the reballing-finished touch module onto the replacement screen.

Insert a metal plate and paper which is serves as for heat insulation.

Get the touch module in the right position, then heat with a Hot Air Gun.

Next, we just need to assemble the phone and test it.

Please note that professional motherboard repair techniques and handwork skills are required during the process. Screen replacement beginners are not recommended to imitate the operation.
